A 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization, the Cancer Coping Center constitutes a group of professionals who volunteer their time and expertise in order to relieve the suffering of those afflicted with cancer by providing coping strategies for cancer patients, their family members and caregivers. It is all about taking action and not thinking that someone else will take care of the matter. We live socially responsible lives and can look back and be proud of helping others during difficult times. The Mission To enhance and improve the quality of life for cancer patients, family members and caregivers through creativity. We are a registered nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Cancer Coping Center announces its next Swap With A Purpose fundraiser, a clothing swap, on 2 May 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Cancer Coping Center launched Swap With A Purpose to raise funds for the Center through swap events. There is no fee to participate and the event includes a silent auction, raffle, light appetizers, and beverages. Please bring gently used or new clothing. There will be a check in and check out process. You are welcome to swap as many items as you bring. If you do not bring any items, you will not be able to swap. However, you can participate in the raffle and silent auction. Please note that this event is for ladies only/adults only. RSVP via email maryam@swapwithapurpose.com by April 25, 2010.
Cancer Coping Center will hold its holiday party on 5 December 2010 from 9:30AM to Noon. Join us for a Gift Wrapping Fundraising Holiday Party! There is a $25 fee per person to participate. All supplies will be provided including ribbon, paper, tissue paper, boxes, adhesive, gift bags, embellishments, tools. The event includes a buffet breakfast and free raffle. Each person will receive a goodie bag with holiday treats. You are welcome to wrap up to 10 gifts of reasonable size. This event is for ladies only/adults only. Space is limited so sign up early. Please RSVP via email maryam@cancercopingcenter.com by December 1, 2010. Cancer Coping Center must receive payment no later then December 1st to save your spot.
